Tums and Nivea

I paid $1.44 for all this. Tums are on sale $4.99 and then get back $4.99 in register rewards at Walgreens which made them free. Plus I had 2-$1 off coupons that made this a money maker.

Then at Walmart the Nivea was on clearance for $1.74 each. I bought 6 and then used 3 of the $3/2 coupons. Made them each $.24!! A small but successful haul.

I got paid to shop again!!

I posted a bunch of hauls this morning trying to catch up. Now I think I'm basically current. This week was amazing! For everything in these 2 pictures I got PAID over $9!!! The caress set me back $2 so technically it was a $7 profit for this stuff!! So so awesome!!

Under $5

All this was under $5. Can't remember the full breakdown since this was last week.

Under $3

Under $2

Paid under $2 but can't remember exactly how much.

FREE @CVS

This was from a few weeks ago. Gonna try to catch up today on my deals. I have been finding amazing ones lately!

All this was FREE plus $1.10 in overage at CVS!

Coffee for days ($.25 each)

This is one of my favorite hauls I think. 34 Starbucks iced coffees for $.25 EACH!! I still have 6 more coupons to get 6 more!

Deodorants were $.49 each and the wipes were free! Most are going to my bestie who just had another baby and I'm keeping a few to use as makeup removers. I still have an embarrassing amount of coupons for those to go.

Wow!!! I scored today!

I've had a lot of couponing success this week. I have more to share but for now I'm going to post today's. I got lucky with a store closing and coupons. Everything here cost about $7!! That is amazing to me! The batteries alone are worth $20 between the 4 packs. The Herbal Essences cost me $.15 each!! Oh yes!! My favorite brand of shampoo!!

This weeks deals

I am very happy with my deals this week.

Triaminic meds-$1.99 each!! I'm super happy I got these. Normally $6-$7 each!

Suave body wash-$.66 each

Toothbrush was free!

Deodorants ended up $.40 each.

Toothpastes were less than $.30 each (they retail together for well over $10)

Palmolive was $.38 like in my last haul.

Laundry detergent was $1.49 on sale. Anytime I can get it for that price I buy several.

30 packs of Kool-Aid were completely free. A lucky find on clearance and a coupon that printed at the register. Same thing happened last week too. We have kool-aid coming out of our ears.

We are now up to 13 boxes of toothpaste in my stockpile. From now on if I can't get it for UNDER $.50 each I'm going to pass. We just have so many I feel like I can be picky with them for a while.

Why I coupon

I have an awesome haul to post but first I want to share a few thoughts on couponing. I am amazed at the online drama that comes with couponing. I mean seriously people it is pieces of paper not nuclear weapons. I stay away from the drama. I coupon to save my family money. To me spending $2 on FIVE deodorants makes way more sense than spending $2 on ONE (and yes I got 5 for $2 today).

I am not trying to be a crazy hoarder just so I can have a bunch of stuff. It's stuff that we use and I know WILL be used eventually. My hubs loves that I coupon. In fact he was the one that convinced me to get back to it after years of taking a break. Couponing may not work for everyone. You may feel its not worth your time. You may not need to save $ for whatever reason. We have 3 kids to raise and anywhere I can cut corners to save some money I am going to. It works for us. :-)

Price matching at Walmart

I did pretty good tonight. I price matched at Walmart and didn't have any problems. Retail value is about $30. I paid under $10.

Palmolive was $.38 each.
Softsoap body wash (one of my fav brands) was $1.25 each.
Toothpaste was done mostly at Walmart and the rest at Dollar Tree. 3 of them ended up $.33 each and the rest were $.50 each. Mini mouthwash was $.17 and the tums were $1 after clearance and coupon. I think I did pretty well. I try to not buy toothpaste unless its under a $1. The kids go through it quick. The kind I use is $5 and I pay it because it helps my teeth a lot but they don't need a specific brand.

There are a few more deals I might try to get in on this week. I'll have to see if I have time.

A quick trip

Here's a quick haul from tonight. Nothing major. The cat food was free at Petco. They always have coupons for free cat food and I grab them for my aunt. The dish soap was on sale for $.89 each plus a $.25 coupon which made them each $.64. The candles were a good deal and after coupons I paid $.75 each.

Not a super haul but cheap enough to post about really quick.

Small haul and dentist freebies

I spent most of the weekend working. I did get a little couponing in though. Very quick breakdown: The soda was $.69, soaps $.67 each and febreeze diffuser was $.66. Everything else was FREE!!!

And the last pic I'm including because it was all free from our dentist today!! Wahoo!

AWESOME haul!! Lots of freebies!

Tonight's haul made me giddy. I had a very long and stressful day. I went couponing tonight to relax a little. I scored 9 J&J travel first aid kits for FREE along with 3 Revlon colorstay whipped foundations for FREE! They were clearanced to $4 each and I had $4 off coupons. It was a great night for me as far as couponing goes.

All of this was under $8!!! Amazing!! I paid  $.76 each for the Maybelline baby lips which I love. Normally almost $4 each.

The first pic is my whole haul and the second is the freebies alone so you can clearly see what was free.

Why you should always bring your coupons

Years ago when I did the grocery game I always kept my coupons in their inserts and labeled what date they came out so when I looked at my gg list I could get them easily and then go shopping. I missed out on a lot of deals that way.

Now I clip them and put them into my binder for the simple fact of you never know what you will find. No matter how well you study a store ad there are ALWAYS things marked down and on clearance that you don't know about. Today was one of those days.

I came across a Vicks 44 clearance cough syrup (exp 8/2014) marked down to $1.50. I flipped to my medications section and I had a $1 off coupon. I tried to find more because I had a $3 off 2 coupon as well but this was the last one. I happily paid $.50 because in winter it is never a question of IF we get sick but WHEN.

So the lesson of this is if you coupon try to find a way to bring them with you. You could miss out on those savings!

10 items for .40 cents total at Walmart

This is probably my last coupon haul for the week. This is also my favorite haul simply because I did so well.

Total for all 10 items was: .40 cents out of pocket.

Breakdown: this was done at Walmart.

Rachel Ray dog food. Bought 4 at $1.88 each and used 4- $2.50 off coupons which means each dog food MADE me $.62 each. Then used a renuzit buy 3 get 3 free coupon. Grand total $.40!!!

FREE and more

Today I rocked a huge store clearance. Basic breakdown: the 4 bottles of vitamins (retail $20) were FREE plus I got BACK $.18 after coupons! The shampoos were $.32 each and the air freshners were $.37 each. Total OOP was $7.00!!!!

9-8-13 CVS and Walgreens

I did pretty good today. I paid $14 OOP for all this. Here's the breakdown....

Walgreens is having a great sale on paper products. 8 roll paper towels and 12 roll toilet paper for $1.99 each. The paper towel deal is especially awesome because you can't usually find them for $.25 a roll. I might go back tomorrow.

Laundry detergent is on sale for $1.49 each.

CVS:

Bengay is on sale and with a coupon it's $.49 each. These are full size. Awesome deal. Limit 2.

Alberto VO5 shampoo after coupon is $.52 each.

Pop tarts on sale after coupon $1.33 each.

I think I did pretty good today.

9-7-13 Kroger and CVS

I found a great deal at CVS today. After 3 $1 off coupons and a $3 off $10 from their red box I ended up getting the big Listerines for $1 each. The retail value of everything today was $49.06. I paid $11.22 OOP.

A lot of people always ask me what I do with all this stuff. I use it. We are a family of 5 and lets face it. I'd rather pay $1 for some mouthwash before I need it than pay $6 for some when I run out. It just makes sense.

I'm going out again tomorrow and hopefully can get some more great deals.  I post this mainly so I can look back and see my progress. If anyone ever wants more of a breakdown just leave a comment and I will answer. :-)

Another small Target haul

I want to get this target haul posted as well. Retail value is about $14. I spent $4.49.

Bananas were $1.25 and I had a $1 off mobile coupon for fresh fruit. So I paid $.25 for them.

Bell pepper and cucumber were $1.35 together. Had another mobile $1 off coupon for fresh veggies. I paid $.35 total for both of them together.

Old spice bar soap 6 pk. Marked down to $2.98 and I had a $1 off coupon. It also came with a free mini Old Spice body wash.

I didn't get the Advil for free like a lot of people but I got a deal I couldn't pass up. Buy 2 get a $5 gc which essentially made them $1.04 each.

Again this wasn't the most stellar savings but it was definitely worth the trip.

Unexpected Target deal

I'm posting this for several reasons. The first being that I was pretty happy to find these deals tonight and the second being that I hear people all the time say they don't have time, etc. to get into couponing. This haul proves you don't have to coupon to find good deals. Just keep your eyes open.

I went to Target tonight. I was SO super excited when I found an Essie nailpolish on clearance for $1.26!!! I couldn't believe it. They are always between $7-$8.

Then I found a bottle of kids mouthwash on clearance for $2.20. The Walmart brand is $3 each so I was happy. Then I noticed a $1 off coupon attached that said $1 off 2 Up and Up (target brand) products. You could mix and match mouthwash, soap and body wash. I went to the soap section and they had their soaps on sale for $.97 each. The coupon attached to the mouthwash I was gonna buy already got me a free hand soap. Then I found another mouthwash with the same coupon and did it again. So the mouthwash and soaps were only $4.40 plus tax total! I'm happy with that seeing as how I literally fell into that deal.

Total the nailpolish, mouthwash and soap was $6.06. Not an extreme deal by any means but definitely a good one. We make the kids use rinse every day and it goes quickly.

Another haul from today (9-2-13)

This round wasn't as good as the others but I still feel I did good enough to post it. This is the 3rd post I've made today so scroll down to see the rest of this weekends deals.

I probably could have passed this trips deals up BUT it's stuff we NEED and USE always. I only use Lysol toilet cleaner because for ours it is the best. And I was in desperate need of more vitamin C for the upcoming cold and flu season. The makeup was a great deal and well I can always use more makeup.

Retail value was approx. $29.
I spent around $10.50.

More than half savings. I'm good with that. If it was products I didn't really need I would have passed them up but on the stuff we use I'll happily take that savings amount.

The haul was:

4 Lysol toilet cleaners
2 Nature Made Vitamin C 100ct. Bottles
1 cover girl eyeshadow
1 cover girl lipstick/Chapstick

Today (9-2-13)

Today I did awesome. I spent approx. $3.60 on everything.

The puffs tissues and the wet n wild lip gloss were free. The laundry detergents were $1.49 on sale. These were purchased from CVS.

The shaving cream was on sale for $.99 and was $.59 after coupon. The Palmolive was on sale for $.88. I had $1 in redeemable rewards. This was at Walgreens.

I'm going to join the grocery game again after years of slacking. These sales were found on my own from the coupons and flyers I had.

Back at it

I'm just gonna do a quick catch up from yesterday to today. I want to start keeping track of my deals each week. This was yesterday(Sunday).

I spent approx. $5 after coupons and rewards.
